Participated in an open air painting event at Windsor Castle. The purpose of the event was to be inspired by being inside the walls of the castle and for the inspiration to reflect in the work you created on the day. EVERYONE except for me painted a castle. 🏰 👀 The world needed another 30 paintings of Windsor Castle on that day and I missed the memo.
My inspiration came from the feminine and masculine engery that I felt inside the castle grounds.
Turns out, my definition of open air painting is not the same as the romantic landscape version that everyone else had. I rocked up with the largest canvas they would allow me to bring, easel on wheels and loads of painting supplies. It rained like crazy on the day and I ended up doing a majority of this piece under a platic tarp while my fellow artists gazed in horror and confusion.
